ST 225 Pipe Tool
For emergency flow stopping in large diameter polyethylene pipelines.
The big brother to the PC 105, the ST 225 is operated by a manual hydraulic power pack and can compress polyethylene piping up to nine inch diameter. Designed for rapidly compressing pipes in emergency situations when the flow coming from a damaged pipe must be arrested, the tool has adjustable stops to prevent over-compression of the piping and a slow release mechanism to prevent damage to the piping.

NOTE: polyethylene pipe is more subject to damage when reopening than during compression. Traditional compression tools can only allow a fast reopening and this rapid release will cause “entanglement” of the PE fibers (where the molecules of the polymer do not return “in order” to their original position) and this will create a point of weakness in the PE structure with a probable future rupture of the pipe. The design of the ST225 prevents this possibility.
CAPACITY: Up to nine inch diameter polyethylene piping.
